Ole Miss recruit Shea Patterson reportedly broke his brother's finger with a pass.

Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.) quarterback Shea Patterson has some major pop on his throws.

The Ole Miss-bound signal-caller broke the pinky finger of his younger brother, Nick, who was catching passes from the older Patterson during a recent throwing session, according to the Shreveport Times.

"It was one of my last throws of the night," Patterson told the Times. "I was rolling out — about an 18-yard comeback — and it just went through his hands."

According to the article, the throw left Patterson's brother with a pinky that was separated above the second knuckle.

Patterson, the No. 3-ranked pro-style quarterback recruit according to 247Sports, committed to Ole Miss in February.

247Sports currently ranks his arm strength as a 7 on a scale from 1-10. There's no word on whether that number could receive a boost following Patterson's bone-crushing throw.
