Some Olathe schools closed Monday due to overnight storm damage
OLATHE, Kan. — Multiple schools in Olathe will be closed on Monday due to overnight storms that damaged the area.
Prairie Trail Middle School and Meadow Lane Elementary in Olathe will be closed on Monday. According to an email sent out to the Prairie Trail community, the school said there was a microburst in the area of College Boulevard and Lone Elm Road.

The school said several power lines were knocked down, causing a power outage in the area. As of 6:15 a.m. the power at the school is still out, so school is canceled for Monday.
