Oklahoma fan gets Baker Mayfield tattoo after retweet from Mayfield (Photo)

Oklahoma fan Kenneth Holzhammer got a tattoo recently under rather strange circumstances.

You see, Holzhammer is a big fan of Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield, so he tweeted this at him on Wednesday:

Mayfield is one of the best college football players in the country, so he probably gets all sorts of tweets directed his way. Holzhammer probably didn’t think Mayfield would see it, but then this happened:

That’s right, Mayfield retweeted it — with one stipulation:

Holzhammer then went ahead and did his part:

Holzhammer told the Dallas Morning News that he already had plans for an Oklahoma tattoo, but things changed after Mayfield’s retweet.

“I was going to get the ‘OU’ in all black, but Baker is my hero,” Holzhammer said. “Like no joke, so I took a shot and tweeted to see if he would retweet it and he did. So I had to do it. Can’t let my idol down.”

Things got even better for Holzhammer, a native of Wister, Oklahoma, who is stationed in Louisiana with the U.S. Army, received a message from Mayfield himself.

Pretty cool.
