Oil ends lower, near $91 a barrel

The price of oil finished lower Wednesday after some mixed economic signals.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange:

Benchmark crude fell $1.14 to finish at $91.25 per barrel.

Gasoline was virtually unchanged at $2.96 a gallon.

Heating oil rose 1 cent to finish at $3.21 a gallon.

Natural gas rose about a cent to end at $3.48 per 1,000 cubic feet.

On the ICE Futures exchange in London:

Brent crude fell $1.70 to finish the day at $114.33 per barrel.
