Ohio gas prices up slightly to start work week, but expected to remain stable

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio gas prices have increased slightly to start the post-holiday work week, but analysts say they should remain relatively stable.

The state average for a gallon of regular gas was $3.38 in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's up 8 cents from last week. But it's 56 cents lower than at the same time last month.

The Ohio price is below the national average of $3.47, which is 2 pennies lower than the national average a week ago.

Analysts say gas prices have stabilized since refineries started turning out more gasoline after completing springtime maintenance.
