Officials Pose Alongside Enormous 13-Foot Alligator Captured in Florida
Florida authorities wrestled a gigantic, 13-foot alligator into submission on Sunday.
Sarasota County sheriff's deputies posed in a line with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers to show the sheer size of the gator.
The reptile is believed to be the largest alligator deputies have ever responded to, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
The gator was apprehended in Shamrock Park, a nature center along the coast of Sarasota County.
A trapper ended up taking the alligator away, according to the sheriff's office.
