Missing Oakland Co. woman found dead

UPDATE: According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, “The missing person, Lacie Santia has been found deceased. There appears to be no foul play, but in any event we are checking everything. Please keep the family in your prayers.”

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Oakland County officials are asking for help looking for a missing Independence Township woman, they said Sunday.

The family of Lacie Nicole Santia, 38, reported her missing Saturday morning. They say they’re concerned about her emotional condition.

Officials believe Santia is in or near Waterford Oaks County Park, which is in Waterford Township, Oakland County. Deputies found her car Saturday in the parking lot of the county park, with the keys in the ignition.

They are using a drone unit, search-and-rescue team, K-9 unit and aviation unit. The Waterford Township Police, U.S. Border Patrol and Metroparks Police Search and Rescue Team are involved in the search for the missing woman.

Santia was last seen wearing black yoga pants and a black athletic shirt. She is 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has dark brown hair and dark eyes.

Officials are asking anyone who might have seen Santia in the last 24 hours, or have information about her whereabouts, to call the sheriff’s office at 248-858-4950.
