Quote: "The occupiers are intensifying filtering measures in Kherson Oblast and have begun the process of evacuating so-called state institutions.

According to available information, employees and property of banks and a pension fund are being taken from Kherson to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea."

Details: The General Staff also reported that the level of the moral and psychological state of the population in the border areas of the Russian Federation has significantly decreased. In particular, this is caused by the lack of medical care for civilians.

"According to the available information, due to the mobilisation of medical workers and the increase in the flow of wounded, civilians are being denied medical services in hospitals of Belgorod Oblast," the message says.

In general, the occupiers are trying to hold the occupied territories, disrupt the intensive actions by the defence forces of Ukraine in certain areas and conduct offensive operations on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts.

Over the course of today, Russian forces carried out one missile strike, ten airstrikes, and eight attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems [MLRS].

More than ten cities and towns came under fire. Among them are Strilecha and Terny (Kharkiv Oblast), Pavlivka and Novosilka (Donetsk Oblast), Pravdyne and Bilohirka (Kherson Oblast).

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the situation remains unchanged. A planned rotation of units of the Armed Forces of Belarus involved in the protection of the state border is being carried out. There is still a threat of missile strikes and air raids, as well as the use of Shahed-136 UAVs, from the territory of Belarus.

On other fronts, the occupiers delivered attacks:

  • on the Sivershchyna front – from different types of artillery, in the areas of the cities and towns of Senkivka, Hasychivka, Mykolaivka and Prohres (Chernihiv Oblast) and Bachivsk, Sosnivka and Pokrovka (Sumy Oblast);

  • on the Slobozhanshchyna front – from tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery, near the areas of the cities and towns of Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Vovchanski Khutory, Zybyne, Lyptsi, Zarichne and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi (Kharkiv Oblast);

  • on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts along the whole line of contact with tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery.

  • on the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: occupiers fired more than twenty cities and towns, including Vilne Pole, Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka, Novopil, Zolota Nyva and Vuhledar (Donetsk Oblast) and Zelenyi Hai, Shcherbaky, Orikhiv and Charivne (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

  • on the Pivdennyi Buh front: more than thirty cities and towns along the line of contact came under fire, including Bilohirka, Novooleksandrivka, Sukhyi Stavok (Kherson Oblast) and Shyroke, Kyselivka, Ternovi Pody and Stepova Dolyna (Mykolaiv Oblast).

Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the occupiers, eliminate their manpower and destroy their equipment.

Ukrainian combat aircraft have launched twenty air strikes over the current day [16 October]. They hit seventeen clusters of weaponry and military equipment, as well as four positions of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems. In addition, Ukrainian air defence units shot down one Russian UAV.
