Obituary: Jacquelyn M. Baker, 93, Of Westport

Jacquelyn M. Baker, age 93, of Westport, the loving wife of the late Gerald Baker for over 37 years, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Westport to the late Henry and Helen Rippe, she was a graduate of Staples H.S. and was a lifelong resident. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an Office Manager with the Bridgeport Hydraulic Company.

Jackie was an avid bowler from her high school days throughout her retirement. She was a regular on the golf course at Smith Richardson and the Par 3. She enjoyed playing games and cards with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She looked forward to going to Rhode Island every summer with her children and grandchildren. What she enjoyed most in life was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four devoted children and their spouses, Kevin (Rosemary) Baker of Fairfield, Linda (Raymond) Barry of Fairfield, Susan (Robert) McLevy of Sterling, CT and Patricia (Dean) Veno of Fairfield; her nine grandchildren, Sharyn Clark, Christopher Barry, Meghan Howell, Jill Shamback, Jason McLevy, Alan McLevy, Pamela Bailey, Kathleen Bailey and Dean Veno, Jr.; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Spollett officiating at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield. Interment will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
