The Obamas Have Landed! First Family Returns from Martha's Vineyard

The Obamas are back in Washington, D.C.!

The First Family touched down in the nation's capital on Sunday after spending two weeks on vacation at Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.

The family was all smiles as they walked from the plane, with President Barack Obama wearing tan pants and a button-down shirt. Michelle wore a checkered, black and white dress with Converse sneakers.

Malia, 18, took a page out of her mother's book, and sported high-top Converse sneakers with her white dress.

Meanwhile, 15-year-old Sasha opted for a more glamorous look, wearing a patterned dress with matching wedged heels.

CBS News' White House correspondent Mark Knoller detailed in a tweet how Obama spent his summer vacation: With 10 rounds of golf, four "beach outings," three walks, eight dinners out, four social outings and one Democratic fundraiser.

The president may have been all smiles as he enjoyed the final moments of his vacation, but the fun has come to a close and it's back to work for Obama this week.

On Tuesday, Obama will visit Baton Rouge, Louisiana, one city ravaged by recent floods that have left more than a dozen people dead and thousands without homes.

The visit comes after critics called on the president to end his vacation early to visit the city marred by natural disasters and violence in recent weeks.

Louisiana newspaper The Advocate published an article calling on the president to visit the city immediately to see the damage.

However, Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards defended Obama's decision to stay on vacation, according to ABC News, noting that he is in daily communication with the White House.

He said he preferred that Obama wait to visit so the city could ready local police and first responders to provide security.
