What's former President Barack Obama up to these days? Beating everyone at HQ trivia, apparently. And on the night of Michelle Obama's birthday no less.
Last night, users of the popular HQ app noticed an interesting name among the 91 winners: "Obama." This ignited a social media firestorm.
Many were apparently convinced Obama did indeed win HQ on Wednesday night, or at least really want to believe it's him. One Twitter user tweeted, "If this is really Obama, I feel highly validated for my @hqtrivia obsession."
Another user tweeted, "I realize there is only a .0001% chance this is true, but it would officially make HQ the greatest game show ever if Obama really did just win tonight’s quiz, taking home $21.98."
Here are some of the other tweets about Obama's alleged HQ victory:
It's not clear if the 44th president actually plays HQ. Newsweek reached out to ask the former president if he's a fan of the trivia game, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
Wednesday also happened to be Michelle Obama's birthday––she turned 54. In an Instragram post celebrating the occasion, the former president wrote: "You're not only my wife and the mother of my children, you're my best friend. I love your strength, your grace, and your determination. And I love you more each day. Happy Birthday, @MichelleObama."
The former first lady thanked her husband in a post on her Instagram page, writing: "Thank you @BarackObama for the beautiful flowers waiting for me in the office this morning. You’re my best friend, biggest fan, and getting notes and flowers from you will never get old. And to the many people from around the country who sent cards and posted on social media, you have no idea how much we love hearing from you. I know birthdays can sometimes be bittersweet (54!), but your messages of hope, generosity, and warmth have always reminded me how lucky and blessed we are."
