Obama Joins Mourners in Colorado Tragedy

President Obama arrived in Aurora, Colo., on Sunday afternoon to visit with some of the families of last week’s movie-theater massacre and to discuss the response with local, state, and federal officials.

The president was greeted by Gov. John Hickenlooper, Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan, and Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates, among others, after Air Force One landed at the Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, the Associated Press reported.

Obama planned to spend less than three hours in Colorado, all in private events, before heading to California later on Sunday evening for previously scheduled campaign events on Monday.
