NYC to see first 8 p.m. sunset of 2024

NEW YORK (PIX11) – The first 8 p.m. sunset of 2024 will take place Friday in New York City.

The sun has been setting later ever since the darkest day of the year on Dec. 21.

By the end of May, nearly an hour of daylight will be added until the summer solstice on June 21. That’s when we’ll start to lose daylight hours again.
