NWS hosting Storm Spotter Training throughout Central IL

CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — To help people understand and prepare for severe weather this spring, the National Weather Service Central Illinois is hosting several Storm Spotter Training sessions throughout the area — starting on Wednesday evening in Champaign.

Spring weather can bring tornadoes, thunderstorms, flooding, and more. Knowing how to identify inclement weather and stay safe in the midst of it could help prevent tragedy. The NWS Central Illinois encourages the public to join them for their Storm Spotting Training sessions.
