Now I Get It: How rare are female shooters?

On Tuesday, a female shooter opened fire at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, Calif., injuring three people before taking her own life. Police have identified the woman, in her 30s, as Nasim Najafi Aghdam from San Diego. According to police, her motive appears to be grievances with the “policies and practices” of YouTube, but they’re continuing to investigate. The incident is rare because it was a female shooter, but just how rare is it?
