Potentially.

After a fierce $5million (£3.9m) bidding war for the rights to author David Grann's recently-published book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, Imperative Entertainment - the winners - are looking to recruit something of a holy cinematic trinity to front-up the project.

As revealed by Deadline, Scorsese, DiCaprio and De Niro are first choices for the book's film adaptation, which tells the true crime story of the Osage Indian nation, who discovered vast amounts of oil beneath their land in the 1920s - instantly making them amongst the richest people in the world - before being subjected to a string of mysterious murders at the hands of jealous outsiders.

Things got so bad that the federal government stepped in (the F.B.I part), while a young J. Edgar Hoover also made a name for himself as the lead of the investigation.

Despite the clear excitement behind the idea, things are very much in the early stages – with no concrete indication from anyone's camp – but the trio is apparently seriously considering the idea.

Go on boys, do it!
