Ukraine’s Southern Defense Forces published a video showing completely destroyed by the Russians village of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya Oblast – there is not a single house left intact in the settlement as it has been witnessing fierce combat clashes for the past several months, Ukrainian military reported on April 15.

Not a single house is left standing after Russia decimated the village of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya Oblast over several months of fighting, as can be seen in a video shared by Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces.

Robotyne residents had fled the village, escaping Russian shelling and the invaders themselves.

"This is what Robotyne looks like now," the Southern Defense Forces said.

"I
t cannot even be called a settlement, because there is no population."

Russia "liberates" Ukrainian cities and villages by completely destroying them. They then boast about "successful advances at the front" among the ruins, the Southern Defense Forces said.

Battles for Robotyne

The village of Robotyne was occupied by Russian invaders in March 2022.

Ukraine’s Armed Forces liberated the settlement in August 2023 and the Russians have not stopped trying to regain their lost position since.

Russian troops advanced to the western outskirts of Robotyne and continued intensified offensive actions in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on Feb. 20.

Russians are trying to conduct assault operations from the south and east near Robotyne, said National Guard spokesperson, Ruslan Muzychuk, in March.

Fighting is already underway in Robotyne,' Zaporizhzhya Regional Council deputy Serhiy Lyshenko said on April 9.

There are regular clashes with Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups that are trying to gain a foothold in the village, Ukraine's 65th Mechanized Brigade, which defends the settlement, reported.

Defense Forces denied the reports and noted that Robotyne remains under Ukrainian control.
