Northside parade lines St. Joseph Avenue

Apr. 27—The northside parade lines the streets of St. Joseph Avenue.

Starting at Middleton Street and running north down St. Joseph Avenue, the parade featured various organizations, businesses and teams.

Parade floats launched candy, trinkets and toys into the crowd as kids ran into the street to retrieve them.

Attendees shared joyous smiles as each float passed by. Some floats were decorated with balloons, signs and even people. A wave of classic cars passed as well as a fleet of jeeps and motorcycles.

Music was provided by Lafayette High School's band as their cheer and dance team followed closely behind.

Attendees, Ayden and Junior, said they had a great time at the parade and they wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to their friends.

"They threw so many chains out and I got a free Wendy's meal," Ayden said.

Both Ayden and Junior also got a coupon for free tacos and filled their bags entirely with candy.

"I got Starburst, Nerds, Nerds gummy clusters, Skittles, suckers, a bunch of stuff," said Ayden.

Ayden says his favorite part was seeing all the cars, especially the jeeps.
