North Myrtle Beach to begin mosquito spraying in certain areas

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — The City of North Myrtle Beach will begin spraying for mosquitos this week in public areas and in some neighborhoods, the city said Monday in a news release.

Mosquito spraying will occur throughout the city until the middle of November.

This week, limited spraying throughout the city will take place. The main focus will be on public areas like McLean Park and the Park & Sports Complex as well as some neighborhoods, the city said.

Public works will be spraying the entire city starting the week of June 3.

Mosquito spraying will start at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings and 90 minutes before sunset on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Spraying will only occur during dry weather conditions with light winds, the city said.

Thursday night route
