North Little Rock police ID victim, suspect in Monday deadly shooting

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – North Little Rock police released additional information Tuesday on a Monday shooting that left one person dead.

North Little Rock Police Department officials said 45-year-old Dawn Faisst is now facing a charge of capital murder in connection to the death of 49-year-old Jamie McCall.

Authorities said officers were called to the 300 Block of East Military Road for a domestic disturbance just before 10 a.m. Monday, and when they arrived spoke with Faisst, who told them she had shot McCall, who she said was her boyfriend, on Taylor Street during a disturbance.

Authorities said officers went to Taylor Street and found McCall’s body with a gunshot wound.

Detectives opened an investigation into the shooting, and Faisst was taken into custody. After an interview with detectives, she was arrested, officials said.

Records show Faisst is currently in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. She faced video arraignment Tuesday and is next scheduled to be in court in August.
