LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A standoff between North Las Vegas police and a suspect refusing to come out of a motorhome has shut down portions of the I-15.

All southbound and northbound travel lanes of I-15 have been closed between the 215 and Craig Road during the investigation.

It began after officers responded to a theft in progress shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday at a business in the 15000 block of Apex Power Parkway. While officers were responding the suspect left, southbound on US 93, in a motorhome.

Responding officers eventually located the motorhome and pulled it over. The motorhome then came to a stop, southbound on I-15 at the Lamb Boulevard overpass. The suspect then refused to come out of the vehicle, according to police.
