North Buffalo triple shooting results in charges for Buffalo man

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was arraigned Friday morning and handed five charges, including attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and assault, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

On Jan. 6, authorities allege 30-year-old Caron D. Fleming of Buffalo intentionally shot three men multiple times with an illegal handgun.

The three victims were taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where two 28-year-old men were treated and released, while a 36-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Fleming was arraigned on the following charges:

  • Two counts attempted murder in the second degree

  • One count of first degree assault

  • One count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree

  • One count of assault in the second degree

Fleming is scheduled to appear for his pre-trial hearing on the morning of June 6 and is held without bail.

He faces a maximum of 25 years in prison if convicted of the highest charge.
