Man cut Friday morning in Norfolk, person of interest detained

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police are investigating after a person was cut early Friday morning.

Police say they responded to the 3000 block of Bapaume Avenue around 5:40 a.m. for a report of a stabbing and found a man with a minor laceration to the arm.

He was taken for medical treatment and is expected to recover. A person of interest was detained at the scene, but no charges have been field at this time. The investigation is ongoing, police say.
