Norfolk Botanical Garden voted third best botanical garden in the country

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Just in time for Spring, the Norfolk Botanical Garden was named the third best botanical garden in the country.

Newsweek has released their 2024 Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Botanical Garden in the U.S., which features gardens “bursting with life color and variety,” according to the garden.

Norfolk Botanical Garden ranked just below the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, N.C. and the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Over 500,000 daffodils can be seen blooming as a part of Norfolk Botanical Garden’s Daffodil Daze for the month of March. The Spring season continues, with peak Azalea season in April, and one of the largest rose gardens on the east coast in bloom in May.
