NOPD finds car, suspects at large in quadruple shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Five days after a quadruple shooting at the corner of North Roman and A. P. Tureaud, the neighborhood is no longer cordoned off and teaming with NOPD officers. But the search for the two people responsible for shooting the victims, killing two of them, is still underway. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

According to police, the crime happened on Friday, March 22, around 1 in the afternoon. At the scene, one neighbor told WGNO News that he heard as many as 30 gunshots.

At the scene, police found four people shot. The two men who died were identified by the coroner’s office on Monday as Reginald Thompson, 64, and Farrell Davis, 56.

Police say that two men in a pickup truck were responsible for the attack. One fired the shots while the other acted as the getaway driver. Later in the afternoon on Friday, the truck was found dumped about a mile and a half away at North Tonti and Port streets.
