Noel Edmonds left fans scratching their heads over a bizarre fashion choice in a viral social media post.

The former Deal or No Deal host posed for pictures alongside staff at Laxey Beach Stop Cafe in Laxey Bay, Isle of Man, beaming as he held an ice cream.

Sharing the photo to the cafe's official Facebook page, the caption read: "Noel Big Deal, it's just Laxey ice cream! 😛🤩."

However, fans were more concerned by Noel's outfit, as he was wearing two completely different shoes.

Dalia, the manager of the cafe, went on to comment that she and the staff did not notice Noel's mismatched shoes when they took the photo.

"After I posted it, everyone started commenting –we didn't see it at all! It is very strange!" she said.

She went on to tell the Liverpool Echo that the reaction from fans has been puzzling as they flocked to speculate about his footwear choice.

"I've just got no idea why he has shoes like this – maybe it's a celebrity fashion statement or maybe he got dressed in the dark!" she continued.

"I recognised him straight away but, of course, you don't want to be right in his face. He tried out the famous Laxey ice cream – he loved it! Everybody loves the raspberry ripple!"

Noel is a staple of British TV, helming the likes of Top Of The Pops, Noel's House Party and the beloved game show Deal or No Deal from 2005 to 2016.

He was a firm favourite when he appeared on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2019, enraging viewers when he was voted out.

With many claiming the move was a "fix" when they spotted him holding his bags prior to the announcement, Noel cleared the air during an interview on Good Morning Britain.

"A member of production comes into the camp and says, 'You're going to be voted out, you have 30 seconds to say goodbye to everybody'," he said.

"[They say that to everybody] because they don't know. We gotta get to the bridge. Being a good telly person, I had my bag on my lap and, of course, the conspiracy theory is I knew."
