Nobody hurt in Rantoul house fire over the weekend

RANTOUL (WCIA) — The Rantoul Fire Department were called to extinguish a fire over the weekend.

The fire happened at a house just before 5 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of South Century Boulevard and East Wabash Avenue.

According to the Rantoul Fire Department, the fire was put out in 10 minutes. No one was injured.

The fire department thanked the Thomasboro Volunteer Fire Department and Gifford Fire Protection District, as well as METCAD and Advanced Medical Transport of Eastern Illinois for their assistance with responding to the fire in a Facebook post.
