Subway service has resumed on Line 2 in the east end, shortly after a shutdown forced morning commuters onto shuttle buses between Victoria Park and Broadview stations.

The culprit: a bike on the track, according to TTC spokesperson Stuart Green.

The transit disruption, initially called a "mechanical issue," happened just before 8 a.m. and triggered large crowds at a few stations.
