KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Kingsport Police Department (KPD) reports no serious injuries were sustained after three juveniles crossing the road in front of Dobyns-Bennett High School were reportedly hit by a car Wednesday.

A news release from the KPD said the incident took place at around 2:50 p.m. at a crosswalk on East Center Street at Park Street. The release said three juveniles were properly crossing the road when a white sedan driven by another student reportedly ran a red light and struck them.

The KPD said all three juveniles were evaluated by Sullivan County EMS and found to have “minor to no injuries.”
