Demi Lovato and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama have been dating for nearly six years, but that doesn’t mean they’re ready to put a ring on it. And the singer isn’t afraid to debunk any rumors that have been circulating.

During a day of press events on Wednesday, Lovato, 23, accessorized her looks with dazzling diamond jewels, including an extra-sparkly ring worn on her right-hand ring finger, which sparked some major engagement buzz surrounding her longtime beau, Valderrama, 36.

But quickly after fans began questioning the meaning (and placement) behind the star’s flashy bauble, she addressed the oversize diamond accessory in a single Snapchat snapshot: a photo of her hand wearing the thick, diamond-encrusted ring with the word “relax” written below it in all caps.

This isn’t the first time Lovato debunked engagement rumors. In February, Ellen DeGeneres asked the star about her relationship status, to which she gave a very candid response.

“I don’t see a ring … I wouldn’t mind if I saw one!” the “Stone Cold” singer told Ellen. “There’s time for everything, you know. We’ve been together this long, and obviously I’m not going anywhere and vice versa.”
