No contest plea in one of largest drug busts in Western Wisconsin history

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A woman has plead no contest to charges against her in connection to one of the largest drug busts ever in Western Wisconsin. 65-year-old Elena Ochoa has been given 9 years of probation for her 2 charges.

Earlier this year, Eau Claire Police say they arrested 6 people, including Ochoa, after an 18-month-long investigation into the distribution of fentanyl, meth, and other drugs. Law enforcement says in 2022, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport flagged multiple packages filled with drugs, which led to investigation, and arrests.
