The parents of hundreds of children currently living in Kupiansnk have refused mandatory evacuation, said Andriy Besedin, head of the Kupiansk Military Administration (MVA), on national TV on March 3.

225 families with children currently live in the community.

"Unfortunately, no one agreed to leave,” said the head of Kupiansk MVA.

“As of today, all 225 parents or guardians who are staying with their children have written refusals to be evacuated. Therefore, we are now considering the issue of forced evacuation of children, because the enemy is increasing shelling, especially with heavy weaponry."

Earlier, Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Military Administration, said that the Kharkiv Regional Defense Council would soon consider the issue of forced evacuation of families with children from 18 villages in the Velykoburlutska and Vilkhuvatska communities.
