Aaron Ross took time off work, flew halfway around the world, got to the door of his wife's Olympic gold medal news conference ... and didn't get in?

Ross plays defense for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars but he couldn't break past the guy playing defense at Olympic Stadium.

Ross tried. Begged. Pleaded.

No dice. He had to wait outside while his wife Sanya Richards-Ross talked to reporters after winning a gold medal in the 400 meters.

"He can't be married," Ross said as he dejectedly walked away from the official at the door. "He can't be married."
