No. 3 seed LSU women’s basketball to host Rice in NCAA tournament

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The LSU women’s basketball team will begin tournament play as the third seed in the NCAA women’s tournament.

The Lady Tigers will host No. 14 Rice in the PMAC this week. Days and times will be announced later.

The six-seed Louisville and 11-seed Middle Tennessee will also play in the PMAC this week.

South Carolina, Iowa, USC and Texas are the top seeds in the women’s NCAA Tournament

The winner of both games will face off for a chance to play in the Sweet 16 in the Albany 2 Regional.

The Tigers finished the regular season on an eight-game win streak and then won two games at the SEC Tournament before falling in the championship game to South Carolina.

Tickets for the games will go on sale Monday at 9 a.m. CT on LSUtix.net.
