NJ Transit train service resumes at Penn Station after bridge stuck: officials

NEW YORK (PIX11) –  All NJ Transit trains resumed service Thursday afternoon after they were suspended at Penn Station due to the Amtrak Portal Bridge got stuck open, officials said.

Train service resumed about 1:00 p.m. with delays, but was at least “close to schedule” by later Thursday afternoon, according to NJ Transit.

The trains were initially stopped around 12 p.m., officials said.
