Nitrocross championship races towards finale in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The engine-revving high-flying American rallycross racing series will turn eyes and ears to the track this weekend behind Planet Hollywood.

The track nicknamed the Nitrodome behind Planet Hollywood will host rounds 8 and 9 of the motorsport which will finish off its series. The 2023-24 season included 10 rounds set at venues across North America. The final track is in Las Vegas and features a 130′ gap jump, banked corners, and steep beams on various surfaces from concrete to dirt.

New this year the race will feature Group E, which will be the fastest electric vehicle racing with cars going from 0-60 in 1.5 seconds — faster off the line than an F1 car.

Originally launched in 2018 by Travis Pastrana and Nitro Circus as Nitro Rallycross, this disruptive motorsport is known for cars that fly and tracks that thrill and is now Nitrocross.
