Late night, morning lane restrictions expected due to Las Vegas Boulevard roadwork

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Lane restrictions will be in place during late nights and mornings due to roadwork improvement along Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue through March.

Lane restrictions on portions of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue are in place as work continues on the newest phase of Clark County’s Las Vegas Boulevard improvement project. Most of the work is occurring Sunday evenings through Friday morning from midnight to 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted. The schedule of upcoming lane restrictions is as follows.

Las Vegas Boulevard work zone (work hours 12 a.m. to 9 a.m.)

Through March 15, Las Vegas Boulevard from Tropicana Avenue to Reno Avenue has one lane open northbound for the waterline, concrete, and electrical work for the RTC bus stop. Bus stop 2812 at the southeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue is expected to remain closed until mid-April. Transit riders can access the next closest bus stops at 2837 west of Polaris or 2797 before Duke Ellington.

Through March 29, Aria to Park Avenue has one lane open northbound for waterline work. Through March 29, Park Avenue to Tropicana Avenue has one lane open northbound for barrier rail and sidewalk improvements on the northeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue.

From March 18 through April 5, Tropicana Avenue to Reno Avenue will have on lane open southbound for waterline work.

  • Starting March 4 through March 8, Tropicana Avenue from Ocean Drive to Las Vegas Boulevard will have two westbound lanes open from 10:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.

  • Starting March 11 through March 29, Ocean Drive to Las Vegas Boulevard will have one lane open westbound from 11 p.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The work is part of a multi-phase project underway on Las Vegas Boulevard to upgrade infrastructure between Sahara Avenue and the 215 Beltway.
