Adapted from a best-selling novel by S.J. Watson, director Rowan Joffe's latest feature tells the story of a woman suffering from the consequences of an accident that happened ten years earlier. StudioCanal has just released the trailer.
Every morning, the protagonist played by Nicole Kidman wakes up without a single memory about her life following an event ten years earlier, which seems to have been an attack. She finds herself torn between her hopeless husband, who advises her not to try to remember the past, and a doctor who hopes to cure her.
"Before I Go to Sleep" is the second feature from director Rowan Joffe after the 2010 crime thriller "Brighton Rock." Nicole Kidman is joined in the cast by Colin Firth ("The King's Speech") in the role of her husband and Mark Strong ("Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy," "Zero Dark Thirty") as the doctor.
The latter two actors will also share the screen in the spy movie "Kingsman: The Secret Service," helmed by Matthew Vaughn and due in theaters on October 24, 2014.
"Before I Go to Sleep" arrives in US theaters on September 12, 2014.
