Nicole Kidman slayed the thigh-high boot trend at the 2017 AMAs

When we first saw that Nicole Kidman walked the 2017 American Music Awards red carpet, we did a double take. What is Hollywood icon and Oscar legend Kidman doing at the AMAs? We low-key always forget about her husband Keith Urban, you know, the country music God. Anyway, while Kidman was playing plus one at the AMAs, we couldn’t help but notice that she absolutely slayed her look! Kidman rocked a velvet black dress with asymmetrical hem paired with thigh-high lace-up boots — a shoe trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.

Urban won three awards at the music show last night, but we should really be celebrating this marriage. The two always seem madly in love, holding hands, absolutely beaming in each other’s presence.

Kidman told Peopleon the red carpet, “I love watching him perform, I love it…I see him do it a lot but it never loses its power.”

Urban posted a video after the show giving us reason #1278 why these two are absolutely perfect for each other. In it, Urban thanks his fans, but really we’re here for Kidman gazing adoringly at him and just looking absolutely stunning.

Okay but back to the fashion.

Between her and her husband’s careers, Kidman has to go to literally every awards show in Hollywood, but she looks amazing each time.

Barely a week ago Kidman attended the Los Cabos film festival serving up angelic mermaid vibes — a 180 from the rocker chic vibes at the AMAs.
