Nicole Kidman's emergency hospital dash to be with her mother
Nicole Kidman has gathered her family and made a desperate dash home to Australia to be by her beloved mother Janelle’s side amidst a health scare.
In an exclusive report by Women’s Day, the 52-year-old Oscar-winning actor was pictured with her arm wrapped around her 79-year-old mum, guiding her into Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital.
While the retired nursing instructor’s condition is unknown, her famous daughter - who lives in the US with her husband Keith Urban and their two daughters - was clearly concerned enough to make the trip halfway across the globe.
“It's times like this that Nicole hates being so far away,” an insider close to the actress told WD.
Rushing home
Country singer Keith, 51 and his Big Little Lies star wife were spotted at Sydney airport on July 13 with their two girls - Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, eight - in tow.
The Kidman-Urban clan appeared to be in good spirits, with doting mum Nicole pulling one of her daughters close to plant a kiss on her head before hopping into a waiting car.
While back in Sydney, the foursome - who recently added a fifth family member - were also spotted at Sunday mass in Lavender Bay.
Fears for her family
The Moulin Rouge star’s concern for her loved ones is justified, following her father’s tragic passing in 2014.
Dr Anthony Kidman, a biochemist, was 75 when he died suddenly of a heart attack in Singapore.
Just two years later, the star’s mum, Janelle - who battled and subsequently beat breast cancer when Nicole was a teenager - was rushed to hospital with a heart-related illness.
Nicole and Keith raced to Janelle’s side last year following another health scare.
In March, Nicole celebrated her mum’s birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, “Happy Birthday Mumma - you are SO SO LOVED!!”
