Nick Cannon Battles Lupus With Intense Workout [VIDEO]

Nick Cannon continues to go all-out with his workout routine to stay fit and healthy and counter the effects of lupus. The rapper-comedian just took to social media to share another video of his newest routine, and it definitely looks difficult.

On Monday, Cannon uploaded a clip showing him doing a modified push-up that involves the use of risers. All five risers are stacked up at the start of the clip, then Cannon moves each of the workout tools to the side without skipping a bit in doing a push-up for every riser he removes from the pile. The end result is a cumbersome routine that requires sufficient upper body strength.

Fans left positive comments for Cannon, encouraging him to keep pressing on in his battle against lupus. One fan wrote: “Good job Nick Cannon. Keep up the good work! May God continue to bless you and your family.” Another commented: “That looks tough Nick. Be careful. Keep fighting my man.”

Mariah Carey’s ex-husband has been updating his fans about his “Lupus Warrior” workout routine via social media lately. Over the weekend, Cannon shared a snap and a clip of a routine he referred to as the “middle aged mutant ninja.” The routine involves him grabbing some ropes to do a modified pull-up.

Aside from allotting time to keeping his body in great shape, Cannon also does some advocacy work every now and then. Recently, he visited the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in New York to host the Champions Ceremony as part of Children’s Hospitals Week. Based on his posts about his hosting gig, he had a great time with the patients at the healthcare facility.

Cannon first publicly talked about his battle with lupus back in 2012. He revealed to People that doctors diagnosed him of having the autoimmune disease after it was found out that he had blood clots in his longs following a kidney failure. “They kind of say [my] autoimmune [disease] is - like a lupus type of thing, but no one else in my family has it,” he said.
