A pretty nice weekend could lead to some severe storms on Tuesday.

That's according to The Tribune's reporting partners at WNDU-TV. WNDU meteorologist Andrew Whitmyer predicted a few isolated storms Friday night followed by a lovely Saturday for most of the South Bend region.

Whitmyer said, "99% of us should stay dry" Saturday, with light winds and a high of 82 degrees.

"And then Sunday it's all about the air you can wear returning, becoming humid," Whitmyer said. That humidity will continue as a warm front moves in Monday followed by a cold front on Tuesday, he reported.

"A few storms early next week could become strong to severe," Whitmyer warned.
