The Blues notched their fourth successive win since Miller was acquired from the Buffalo Sabres to stay second in the Western Conference, and on top in the Central Division. - - - Senators 5, Jets 3 Ottawa center Mike Hoffman scored his first NHL goal and newly acquired right-winger Ales Hemsky made four assists as the Senators beat the Winnipeg Jets. Hemsky, acquired at the trade deadline on Wednesday from the Edmonton Oilers, set up two goals in the first period and two more in the second for the Senators (28-25-11). - - - Devils 5, Hurricanes 4 Right winger Tuomo Ruutu scored the winner with 6:30 remaining in the third period as the New Jersey Devils staved off a Carolina comeback to beat the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes erased a three-goal deficit as defenseman Jay Harrison, left winger Nathan Gerbe and right winger Alex Semin scored to tie it up at 4-4 before Ruutu's winner. - - - Capitals 3, Coyotes 2 The Washington Capitals halted a three-game losing skid when they came from behind to beat the Phoenix Coyotes. Scoreless and trailing by two goals midway through the third period, the Capitals staged a dramatic rally, scoring three times in just over five minutes, with right winger Troy Brouwer scoring the winner. - - - Maple Leafs 4, Flyers 3 (OT) Center Joffrey Lupul scored the overtime winner as the Toronto Maple Leafs edged the Philadelphia Flyers at home. Lupul had two chances off a feed from defenseman Dion Phaneuf at 1:21 of the extra period before burying his 19th of the season. - - - Bruins 4, Lightning 3 (SO) Boston won their fourth successive game as right winger Reilly Smith scored the winner in the seventh round of a shootout as the Bruins twice came from behind to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning. Smith's goal came moments after Lightning right winger Richard Panik struck the post with what would have been the first goal of the shootout. - - - Stars 4, Wild 3 The Dallas Stars edged the Minnesota Wild thanks to a goal with 4:49 remaining by left winger Erik Cole. On a night when Dallas honored their franchise icon Mike Modano, the Stars got a three-point performance (one goal, two assists) from center Tyler Seguin to end Minnesota's five-game winning streak. - - - Blue Jackets 1, Predators 0 Center Artem Anisimov scored the only goal of the game in the third period as the Columbus Blue Jackets won on the road against the Nashville Predators. Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne, just three games into his return from a 51-game absence with a hip infection, made one spectacular save after another before the Blue Jackets scored with their 32nd chance. - - - Canucks 2, Flames 1 The Vancouver Canucks scored more than one goal for only the third time in 10 games to beat the Calgary Flames at home. Vancouver defenseman Yannick Weber jammed the puck through a crowd to score the winning goal in the third period. - - - Sharks 4, Canadiens 0 Right winger Tommy Wingels scored twice and goalie Antti Niemi stopped 27 shots as the San Jose Sharks beat the Montreal Canadiens at home.
