(Adds late games) Jan 11 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Saturday's NHL games. - - - Canadiens 2, Blackhawks 1 (overtime) Defenseman Andrei Markov scored twice to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 2-1 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Max Pacioretty's shot towards the front of the net deflected towards Markov at the left circle, who made no mistake for his second of the night. Marian Hossa scored the lone goal for Chicago. Canadiens goalie Carey Price made 19 saves while Corey Crawford stopped 36 shots for the Blackhawks. - - - Lightning 6, Flyers 3 Ryan Malone scored two goals, helping the Tampa Bay Lightning end Philadelphia's 10-game home winning streak with a 6-3 victory. Alex Killorn, Valtteri Filppula, Martin St. Louis and Teddy Purcell also scored for Tampa Bay (27-14-4). The Flyers had not lost at the Wells Fargo Center since Nov. 5 against Carolina in overtime. Jakub Voracek had two goals and Wayne Simmonds added a power-play goal for the Flyers (23-18-4). - - - Blue Jackets 6, Jets 3 The Columbus Blue Jackets scored four goals in the second period and cruised to a 6-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. Columbus centers Boone Jenner and Mark Letestu both scored twice as the Blue Jackets earned their third straight triumph to up their record to 21-20-4. Forwards Nick Foligno and Cam Atkinson also scored for the Blue Jackets while Eric O'Dell scored his first NHL goal for Winnipeg (19-23-5). - - - Devils 2, Panthers 1 (OT) Defenseman Marek Zidlicky scored with one second remaining in overtime to give the New Jersey Devils a 2-1 victory against the Florida Panthers. Travis Zajac won an offensive zone faceoff with 3.8 seconds remaining, Jaromir Jagr tapped the puck to Zidicky, who ripped it past the catching glove of Panthers goaltender Tim Thomas for the winner. Goaltender Cory Schneider made 29 saves for the Devils while Thomas stopped 34 shots for the Panthers. - - - Senators 2, Predators 1 (shootout) Nashville fell to 0-4 in the tiebreaker with a 2-1 shootout loss to the Ottawa Senators. Mika Zibanejad and Jason Spezza beat goaltender Marek Mazanec in the shootout for Ottawa (20-18-8), while Craig Smith and David Legwand came up empty for the Predators. Nashville (19-20-7) lost for the fifth time in six games, while the Senators notched their fifth win in six games. - - - Avalanche 4, Wild 2 Center Ryan O'Reilly's second goal of the game in the latter half of the third period lifted the Colorado Avalanche to a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Wild. The Avalanche built a 2-0 lead, saw it slip away, before O'Reilly's winner. Colorado (28-12-5) also got a goal from left winger Gabriel Landeskog, an empty-netter by center Maxime Talbot and 25 saves from goaltender Semyon Varlamov. Charlie Coyle scored two goals in a 40-second span for the Wild (24-18-5), who lost for the first time in 2014. - - - Ducks 5, Coyotes 3 The Anaheim Ducks rallied from behind to score three second-period goals to beat the Phoenix Coyotes 5-3. The loss was the fourth in the last five games for Phoenix, which is just 3-7-2 in its past 12 home games after a 9-0-1 start. After a torrid 14-4-3 start to the season, Phoenix is 7-10-6 and has fallen out of a playoff position in the Western Conference. Anaheim improved to 16-1-1 since the start of December and leads the NHL with 73 points in 47 games. - - - Penguins 2, Flames 1 Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury made 27 saves and winger Chris Kunitz potted his 24th goal of the season as the Pittsburgh Penguins knocked off the Calgary Flames 2-1. The win came a night after the Penguins blew an early two-goal lead against the Edmonton Oilers, but Fleury stood tall as the Flames tried desperately to mount a comeback from the same margin on Saturday. With the victory, the Penguins improve to 33-12-2 and run their win streak against the Flames to seven games, dating back to 2007. The Flames (15-24-6) suffered their sixth straight loss on home ice. - - - Red Wings 3, Kings 1 Winger Riley Sheahan and center Tomas Tartar each had a goal and an assist and goaltender Jimmy Howard made 44 saves as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-1. Detroit (20-15-10) took their first lead of the night with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation on Tartar's 10th goal of the season. The Red Wings added an insurance goal from Dan Cleary with 2:34 to make it 3-1 to seal their 14th road victory of the season. The Kings (27-14-5) got a power play goal from defenseman Drew Doughty. - - - Bruins 1, Sharks 0 Boston center Carl Soderberg's sixth goal of the season was the only offense in a 1-0 Bruins victory as the San Jose Sharks lost in regulation at home for only the second time this season. Soderberg broke a scoreless tie 12:25 into the third period by knocking a pinballing puck past Sharks goalie Antti Niemi after left winger Loui Eriksson's attempt bounced off the leg of San Jose defenseman Scott Hannan.
