Jan 17 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Friday's National Hockey League games. - - - Blackhawks 4, Ducks 2 Marian Hossa scored twice and wingers Kris Versteeg and Bryan Bickell added goals as the Chicago Blackhawks beat Anaheim 4-2 at the United Center. Chicago's win snapped Anaheim's eight-game winning streak and was only the second loss in the last 20 games for the Ducks (36-9-5). It was goaltender Jonas Hiller's first loss after a team record 14 straight wins, the second-most in NHL history. Chicago (31-8-11) had lost four of their previous five games. - - - Blue Jackets 5, Capitals 1 Outside of the first-place Pittsburgh Penguins, the NHL's Metropolitan Division looks like a 5 p.m. traffic jam. The Columbus Blue Jackets and Washington Capitals are currently headed in different directions. Four different players scored goals, two of them on power plays, and the Blue Jackets continued their midseason turnaround, routing the Capitals 5-1. The Blue Jackets have won a season-long five straight games while the Capitals have lost 11 of their last 15. The win kept Columbus in sixth place in the Metropolitan, but only four points separate seventh-place Carolina (49) and second-place Philadelphia (53).
