NFL Preview Week: Which division is the best (and worst) this season?

While the NFL doesn’t have an “SEC vs. everybody” type of debate when it comes to toughest divisions, figuring out which division is the best is still an interesting exercise.

Last season the crown probably went to the NFC East. It was one of two divisions with three winning teams, and the last-place team (Philadelphia Eagles) finished 7-9. The No. 1 seed in the NFC (Dallas Cowboys) and the top wild-card team (New York Giants) both came out of the East. The AFC West was the other division with three winning teams last season.

After an offseason of changes, let’s look at how the divisions stack up this season, from worst to best:
