GUIDANCE: Chemicals maker DuPont Co. said Thursday it expects to reach the low end of its annual net income guidance, which calls for earnings of $3.85 to $4.05 per share, because of the unusually cool and wet spring weather.
FOUL WEATHER: DuPont's products include seeds, herbicides and insecticides. The wet weather delayed planting, which is expected to reduce farmers' harvests. On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture cut its estimate for this year's corn harvest.
ESTIMATES: FactSet says analysts expect the company to earn $3.89 per share.
