THE SHOW: The Los Angeles Auto Show opens to the public on Friday, Nov. 30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Press days are Wednesday and Thursday.

THE DEBUTS: Automakers will unveil more than 40 new vehicles at the show.

HOT CARS: An all-new Toyota RAV4 crossover and a revamped Honda Civic compact; a new electric version of the Fiat 500 mini-car; a BMW battery-powered concept car made with carbon fiber; a new Acura big car; an all-electric Chevrolet Spark; Ford's Transit Connect Wagon.
