News 4 to host debate for 26th Congressional District on April 24
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — News 4 is your local election headquarters, and on April 24 News 4 will host a debate between the candidates for the special election for New York’s 26th Congressional District.
The candidates for the April 30 special election are New York State Senator Tim Kennedy (D) and West Seneca town supervisor Gary Dickson (R).
The seat is to fill the vacancy left by former Congressman Brian Higgins, who resigned from his seat in February to become the president of Shea’s Performing Arts Center.
New York’s 26th Congressional District represents Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Lackawanna, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, among other municipalities.
The debate, which will be moderated by News 4’s Marlee Tuskes and Dave Greber, will air that evening at 7:30 p.m. on WIVB.
