News 19’s new evening anchor duo makes debut

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – News 19’s new evening anchor team made their debut on WHNT and WHDF on Monday evening!

Ben Hoover and Tamika Alexander are Alabama journalists who bring more than 40 years of broadcast journalism experience to the News 19 anchor desk.

The team is anchoring our 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts on WHNT. They will also anchor the 9 p.m. news on WHDF!

We enjoyed welcoming Ben and Tamika on our airwaves Monday, and the duo is excited about getting to cover the Tennessee Valley and tell stories for our viewers each day!
